I have had a terrible experience with Aspinal of London. I ordered two personalised items for Christmas and after waiting a week for them to get delivered it turned out that they had sent me someone else's order. When I phoned to sort this out, the girl that I spoke to said she'd sort it and get my items sent out ASAP. I then received an email the following day to say that they wouldn't be sending me my items until their returns team had received the wrong item I received!!! I said from the start that I would be happy to return the item, but did not expect to have to wait for my items to be sent out to me until they received the wrong order I had received, as these items should have already arrived by now and ESPECIALLY as it was their fault in the first place. I then called customer service AGAIN and the girl I spoke to didn't want to put me through to a manager and said she could sort it out. Then when she checked to see if they could get my order out to me, she told me that one of the items was no longer in stock!!! She said she'd look into it and try to get both original items located and sent out ASAP. About 6 hours later, I received an email confirmation to say an order has been processed and when I checked, both items that I had originally paid personalisation for weren't personalised, so I had to call customer service AGAIN for the 3rd time in 24 hours. (Baring in mind it takes minimum 10 minutes to be connected with anyone) The final person I spoke to was rude and AGAIN told me she wouldn't put me through to a manager. Considering it's supposed to be a luxury brand and you're paying a lot of money for these products, you just wouldn't expect this level of service or mistakes like this to be made! I can confidently say I will not be purchasing anything from Aspinal of London again.

AVOID THERE IS A GLITCH ON THE WEBSITE WHICH ORDERS AND CHARGES YOU TWICE. What’s worse - customer service simply do not respond. Appalling service from what is a reputable and high end brand. Scroll down and you’ll see the same has happened to others. Take your business elsewhere if you don’t want to get ripped off.

I wish there was an option to give 0 stars as that's what this brand deserves with their service and after sales which is beyond pathetic and appalling!! I have been purchasing their products since 2013 ("loyal customer" as they like to call) and it is unbelievable how bad they have become now. Will NEVER EVER be purchasing their products anymore.......
I placed an order last month for Christmas gifts purpose and paid extra for gift wrapping each gift, however the order arrived with no gift wrapping! Also one of the items that we bought looks radically different to how they portray it on their website!! It looked like a decent size carry case for makeup, but in fact it is so small, it is ridiculous to be given as a gift. You can barely put a lip balm or lipstick in it. This is so misleading, i have no words for it and feels totally cheated as a customer!!! This is not the kind of service one expects from an expensive brand like Aspinal!
Called the customer service team the same day i received everything and explained everything to a lady. I was assured my compliant would be escalated to her manager and they will get back to me immediately. Never heard back from them, so I sent a strongly worded email 4 days after my original call. In that email i had clearly said if I didn't get a response to my email within 24 hours I will start putting reviews about them everywhere I could. Actually now it's been 48 hours since I sent that email and still no response at all from them which clearly indicates what they actually think of their customers. They have absolutely zero respect for their customers or their feelings or any interest in resolving anything. I feel you can get better service at Tesco, Argos etc. Stay away from this brand everyone. This is from a customer who has bought several of their products over the years.........

I wanted a leather A4 journal with lined paper but could not order it online as the lined option would not operate.I phoned the Regent Street shop and Kasia was so helpful and the order was placed easily with my initials to be embossed. To my amazement it arrived the next day. Where else would one obtain such excellent service these days? I ordered an A5 today and have just seen that it has already been despatched.Clearly a superb company to deal with. They have my ongoing custom.Chris Beecham

First for the good: Aspinal of London products are (generally but see below) great quality and good value for money at sale prices. In addition beautifully packaged even without gift option.Now for the not so good: seem to have an issue with quality control. I have been sent two bags that were faulty and a journal that was a very different shade to that on the website. I sent journal and one bag back but reluctantly kept one bag as saw it was out of stock and loved the bag (apart from the fault). Dispatch times can also be very hit and miss.

Ordered two bags from them over the last few months - Mayfair and The Trunk. Both look gorgeous and are of great quality. Good customer service and quick despatch even though I ordered these bags with personalised straps.

I ordered a personalised wallet as a gift and I'm absolutely delighted with my purchase! The wallet arrived 5 days after I placed my order, beautifully packaged and the wallet is stunning really high quality. I emailed a query to the customer service team about delivery times and received a helpful response the following day. Very positive experience would highly recommend!

I made my order over three weeks ago and it has yet to arrive. When I emailed an enquiry I got no response, when I managed to speak with some one she couldn’t guarantee my replacement because there was only one in stock.

Ordered a present on the 6th of December and still not arrived. Without being told website updated to out of stock so I rung up and changed the colour. Still 10 days ago and not been dispatched. Have since rung twice and emailed twice to no response. Worst service I have received this christmas.Will never shop here again.

I bought a pair of leather gloves from Aspinal of London three years ago. I have worn them infrequently but even so the linings began to fray until they are now nothing but shredded rags. See photos. I am immensely disappointed at the shoddy quality from a company that labels itself high end. I contacted the company and they politely just dismissed my emails. The gloves are unfit for purpose and having seen various one star reviews on other products from this company I would strongly advise against purchasing anything from them!

I have purchased a leather case of men`s manicure for my partner in Cognac brown colour.However I have received completely different colour than advertised on the website - bordo red, rather feminin like.After my email with added photoes (which clearly shows it`s nothing like advertised!) to the customer service I got a short answear that there is nothing they can do and the colour is ,,identical`` on their computer screen to advertised photoes! Pathetic lies.Since I have personalized my item with inicials I was told it`s unable to be returned - but again- it isn`t my fault in the first place that I received completely different colour of the item and their advertisement is wrong and missleading! The item has been discontinued now on their website....I didn`t get any answer back after my second email. The lack of support is very dissapointing from a known company like this. I am never going to order anything there again.

I have had my Aspinal leather shoulder bag for over three years. It is in my opinion a poorly made and designed piece of kit masquerading as a high-end item. Let me explain why. *Good quality leather becomes supple and forgiving with use, as long as care is taken not to damage it. The leather from which this bag was made, is as stiff and unyielding as the day I was given it. That's a sign of poor quality.*The bag has a deceptively small capacity. It doesn't really hold enough to work as a useful shoulder bag.*The clip-fastenings on the straps are cheaply made and break easily in normal use. I gave up having them replaced, on the grounds that after two goes, it was no longer worth the time and effort.*The canvas shoulder strap is slippy and too short, constantly (and irritatingly) sliding round my body if I bend over even slightly. I have relegated this item to being my dog walking bag, but frankly - for all the above-mentioned reasons - it doesn't even work well as that.Overall my message is this. Don't be taken in by Aspinal's glossy luxury-goods marketing. It's an image without substance.
